ELECTRICAL SAFETY DEMO

May is Electrical Safety Month!
Eau Claire Energy Cooperative is excited to celebrate Electrical Safety Month this May by offering free safety demonstrations for schools and community groups! These engaging and educational sessions help students understand the importance of electrical safety in their daily lives. Our expert team will showcase real-life scenarios and demonstrate best practices to avoid electrical hazards at home and in the community.
Electricity is a powerful and essential part of our everyday lives, but it must be handled with caution. Our safety demonstrations cover topics such as the dangers of downed power lines, the importance of staying away from electrical substations, and how to use electrical appliances safely. These lessons can help prevent accidents and promote lifelong safety habits.
As a special bonus, students who attend a safety demonstration can participate in our Safety Poster Contest! Using what they’ve learned, they’ll create posters that highlight key electrical safety tips. Winning posters may even be featured in our materials, including newsletters, social media, and educational resources distributed throughout the community.
Teachers and group leaders – don’t miss this opportunity to educate and inspire young minds. Schedule a free safety demonstration today and give students the chance to learn, create, and win! Whether you're a school, scout group, or community organization, our demonstrations provide a hands-on, interactive way to reinforce the importance of electrical safety.
